Having been a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana, opening my agency here, was ideal. It afforded our agency the opportunity to service Indiana and Illinois customers. We accepted the challenge of the many moving parts it takes to not only be a small business owner but support one of the strongest brands around. My predecessor, Mr. Herb Schumann, opened doors in the 1970's making a strong presence in our community. We opened doors in December of 2013 with very big shoes to fill. Our seasoned agents along with State Farm's training and support provided the core values to build a foundation that only gets stronger every day. Our customer's continued feedback has allowed us to continue to grow while servicing our existing customers. I feel confident my team and I try to be better every day, and we do not take the role of being a "good neighbor" lightly. I am beyond grateful for the support of my children and family. They believed in me and assisted in accomplishing my dreams. My beloved father and sister taken too soon, helped me realize how important it is to have a legacy and protect those you love. Their legacy lives on and I could not be prouder to honor their memory. To wrap up, it wouldn't be an "about me" if I didn't incorporate my Ted Bear, Stella Bella, and Ellie Girl.
